Hope and Love
To
live by faith, to be known by love and to be the voice of hope.
1
Corinthians 13:13 And
now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1Thessalonians 1:2 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. 3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
This
year our desire is to ....
Live by Faith we will allow God to take us into new experiences of who he is and how he works. We will step out not knowing what the future holds but knowing who holds the future. We will trust God in new directions, new plans and for new vision.
Be Known by Love we are called to be known by love. Faith is expressed through love. Without love we have no claim to be the disciples of Jesus Christ. We will seek to serve one another and our community in living expressions of God's unconditional love. Whenever we are known by love, God's reputation is intact.
Be the
Voice of Hope a Christ-less world is a
hopeless world. A Christ-filled world is a hope-filled world.
We are God's voice of hope. Our message is that those who have known
condemnation and shame can find a new beginning in Christ. We are to be a voice
of hope because we are a people of hope.
